The Secret Behind Secret RF
What Else Can RF Microneedling Help With?
Skin tightening is an RFM specialty, but it can also help reduce the appearance of acne scarring and sun damage. Preventing early signs of aging, like fine lines and wrinkles, is also possible. One of the best features is that it's also used to help break up the scar tissue that causes stretch marks.
What to Expect Before, During, and After Treatment
Before receiving this service, you'll need to come into the spa for a consultation to review your medical history and ensure you're the right candidate for microneedling. If you are, you can book the same day or make a future appointment depending on certain products you use or daily rituals you do that you may have to stop before coming in. When it's time for treatment, your skin will be cleansed, and a numbing cream will be applied 45 minutes prior. The numbing cream helps minimize discomfort. It's best to wear no makeup and stop wearing self-tanner at least four weeks before receiving Microneedling. Depending on the area, the service can take about 20 minutes to an hour. Slight discomfort is to be expected, followed by redness and pinpoint bleeding. You'll have little to no downtime following the service. After, you will be cleansed with a saline solution and can continue your day as usual for the most part. Staying out of the sun for the first day and avoiding washing your face with any harsh acids for 24 hours is essential. You can use a gentle cleanser 4 hours after treatment.
Other Helpful Information
Multiple sessions achieve the best results. It is recommended that most people get 3 to 4 treatments, but they can receive more than 4 for stretch marks. These are usually spaced out 4 to 6 weeks apart.
There are two different types of tips used for microneedling. A 25-pin tip is typically used on the face, and a 64-pin tip is generally used on the body. For even better results, you can combine RF Microneedling with other services.
I've personally had this procedure done, and the discomfort level is very minimal, and it's a relatively simple service.
