Everybody wants their skin to have that youthful, radiant, goddess-like glow, but where do you start? There are many ways to achieve this look, but maintaining it is the key!

Before anything, the first step is ensuring you have the proper skin care. Not only just having the appropriate skin care but using it in the correct order. At night, cleansing twice, followed by exfoliating a few times a week, using a mask a few times a week, a serum, and a moisturizer is the correct way to use your products. For the morning, believe it or not, it is not necessary to cleanse your face if you double-cleansed the night before. You can use a splash of water or a cotton pad soaked with micellar water followed by a hydrating serum, a moisturizer, and SPF. For example, on Monday, I would double cleanse and use a serum and a moisturizer, but on Tuesday, I would add the mask and exfoliation. Exfoliation is a crucial part of a skin care regimen to get the glow, and many people omit it altogether.

Exfoliating between 2-3 times a week will remove dead skin and debris that could be causing breakouts and congestion. Exfoliating promotes cell turnover, where the new, healthier-looking skin comes in. A good serum with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin c, peptides & glycerin will keep your skin hydrated and give you that beautiful, dewy shine.

Another great way to get glowing skin is through different treatments. My two go-tos are Hydrafacial and dermaplaning! These can be done separately, but when paired together, dermaplaning will give you that smooth canvas followed by Hydrafacial, leaving you with nourished, gorgeous luminous skin that will have people asking you, "what's your routine?!". So what is dermaplaning, then? Dermaplaning is when a surgical scalpel is used gently back and forth on the skin to remove vellus hair (known to most people as peach fuzz). At the same time, this technique also removes the top layer of the epidermis where dead skin and debris lie. The result is a more even skin tone and smoother feel that products and makeup will sit nicely on top of. Adding a Hydrafacial with dermaplaning will further promote that healthy glow because Hydrafacial works by using vacuum suction to remove impurities simultaneously with vortex fusion to penetrate serums into the skin. This leaves the skin looking radiant and plump.

Maintenance, preserving, and protecting is the key to keeping your skin looking the way it does when you leave the treatment room. I recommend booking these services monthly, either separately or together. At Sacred, we can provide these services but also help our guests start a skin care regimen that will maintain the longevity of the results and keep our guests glowing in between services! As always, remember to wear your sunscreen and check out my blog about Hydrafacial for more information on the different types we offer here at Sacred. See you soon!
